Musical Director
Nicholas Woods studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he was an organ scholar and Sub-organist at Southwark Cathedral. He won various prizes including the Recital Diploma, which is the highest award given to an RAM student. Since then, he has gained much experience in a career of music, as piano and voice coach, organist, choir trainer and lecturer.
His academic and practical talents are widely recognised in the field of music. He holds a Masters degree from Reading University, a post-graduate MusB in composition from Durham and is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Organists and Trinity College of Music.
He has been associated with a wide variety of musical styles and traditions for many years, and is well known for recital work and for developing choirs to their full potential. He brings his energy, experience and enthusiasm for music and the people he works with, to this choir.
